The reasons why I would like the htc are that it has a nice design, great sound quality, incredible speed and response (from what I've seen in the videos), and 32gb for the same price as a 16gb sgs4. Blinkfeed may be a pro or con cause I may enjoy it, but now it's steering me away. I would choose samsung because of the small tweaks it includes (like battery percentage and quick controls in notification bar), a larger screen while being the same height as the s3, removable battery and an sd card slot, and being knowing what samsungs interface is like (really enjoy my s2). Design and build quality really doesn't matter as ill probably have a case anyways. Or I could get an iPhone like most of my friends and peers and enjoy the free iMessage haha. (Probably wont get iPhone, but iMessage is a bit tempting and so are the apps quality)

A. Sorry if this is long but it's to show in clear detail why to get S4
I would get the Samsung Galaxy S4 because

1.It is quicker- 1.9ghz quad core vs 1.7ghz quad core

2.Microsd- you can expand the memory with a 64gb microsd. This a cheaper way to expand your memory and you can have a 16 gb S4 and still have more storage than the HTC One(64gb) if you get a 64gb microsd.

3.Removable battery- This means you can replace the battery if you run out of charge when you are around unlike the HTC One which you have to charge or bring an external charger and charge it from there, however this is an akward way of charging your phone. Also the removable battery can help you prevent water damage as you can remove the battery if it falls in water, thus reducing the chances of water damage.

4. Repairability- iFixit gave HTC One the worst rating for repairability and S4 does not have the problems the HTC One has (https://www.google.ie/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CDQQqQIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fibnlive.in.com%2Fnews%2Fhtc-one-scores-1-out-of-10-for-repairability-after-teardown%2F382264-11.html&ei=4B5fUfGMK46BhAe2-4HgCQ&usg=AFQjCNFFmFehC4KzSZI1YUuOVHA1YZ2Ong&sig2=JNimZy7FL937Y6OkKGcTtQ&bvm=bv.44770516,d.ZG4)

5. Screen- It is amazing and bigger than the screen on the HTC One (yes this is an advantage). Yes it has less ppi (440ppi S4 vs 468ppi HTC One) reviewers say that the difference in ppi is unnoticeable but you can see the difference in colours as the amoled display is has amazing colours. The big screen is also an advantage as it as you can do so much more with it, multitask for example. Also I can fit the Note 2 in one hand with medium hands and actually use it so in my opinion one hand use should not be an issue as the Note 2 is half an inch bigger.

6. Real Multitasking- watch videos while online, write an email while watching a video, send a message while surfing the web, you can split the screen in two so you can multitask without a bother, this cannot be done on the HTC One.

7.Samsung added features
a.Smartstay- won't turn the screen off if you are still looking at it.
b.Smartpause- pauses a video when you turn around and turns it back on when you turn back
c.Eye controlled webpage scrolling
d.Airview- check link to learn more http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Galaxy-S-4-display-Air-View-and-Air-Gesture-demoed-on-video_id40881
e.Infrared TV remote
f.External temperature and humidity sensors
g.Use the phone while using gloves
h.S Health- useful for health enthusiasts
i.S Translator- itâs all in the name a translator
j.Etc- I could go on but check the link to see even more features http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Galaxy-S4-10-exclusive-or-little-known-features-review_id41541

8.Camera features- First of all reviewers say the only place that the HTC One beats S4 camera wise is in low light without flash, the rest are about the same(actually the S4 photos have more detail and are clearer according to CNET) except in video where the S4 wins. So in my opinion the cameraâs are very similar so itâs more about features in the end, S4 wins here
a. Dual shot- take photos from both cameras so that you can include the photographer in a photo
b. Photo with audio message- record a message before or after a photo to add to a photo
c. Eraser shot- can remove unwanted moving content
d. More but those are the be

Hope this helped
Enjoy your new phone no matter which one it is

Original Question

galaxy note 2 protective cases?

Q. just ordered my note 2 but there's no protective cases and im looking for something comparable to the otterbox until they release one

A. Look http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008TX991G

http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&redir_esc=&client=ms-android-samsung&source=android-browser-type&v=141400000&qsubts=1354193253694&action=devloc&q=galaxy+note+2+protective+cases

Original Question

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 sticky volume keys fix?

Q. have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 not that the name matters that much but anyways The volume keys keep getting stuck and its really annoying. Hopefully it will pull whatever sticky mess got in there and is preventing it from working properly.

It could also simply be broken no longer springing back, I hope that is not the case as there is no easy fix.

If it is rooted it is extremely easy to put it back to factory settings if you do need to send it in for repair. Recommend use MixZing Basic (free) cuz has equalizer but recommend Winamp Pro (paid).
It has Adreno 200 which gives nice rendering 3D graphic but looks like PS1 graphic... depends on games...

Anyway, u should see new Galaxy Mini 2 cuz it has larger screen resolution HVGA 480x320 for sharper viewing, 800MHz cpu a lot faster than iphone 3g and same speed with Galaxy Y and has Flash support. I dont know about its GPU.

Additional info: o yeah, samsung galaxy mini uses a lot of battery usage. (forget to mention it). but this also apply to most android phone (s, sii, etc). so whenever buy this phone or mini 2 or other that is android based, install an app that is for maintain battery life or battery management.

Original Question

Samsung Galaxy Y vs Samsung Galaxy Mini. The main reason is the faster processor. If you are looking for a phone that is a little bit of everything than the Samsung GALAXY Mini has more to offer (bigger screen, better camera, battery life). It's up to you to do the final step and decide. I don't know if this could help you even a little bit.

Original Question

samsung wave 2 or samsung galaxy mini, which is the better phone?

Q.

A. The Samsung S5570 Galaxy Mini has a well proportioned touchscreen and compact body shape measurement with high 11.04cm 6.08cm wide and 1.21cm deep, allowing the user to hold and use the Mini Galaxy S5570 in a single hand. A 3.1-inch touch screen offers easy to use touch-screen controls and a beautiful colorful look. And with a 1.2GHz processor, super-slim chassis and feather-light innards, it's easy to see why.

The dual-core race is set to heat up massively over the next few months, with the LG Optimus 2X already released, and the Motorola Atrix, HTC Sensation and iPhone 5 all set to bring the tech to market too.

Coming in at £35 a month and £519.99 SIM-free, the Galaxy S 2 isn't the cheapest phone out there by a long chalk â so let's see if it can match up to that larger price tag.

Our colleagues at T3.com grabbed some Samsung Galaxy S2 footage that you can watch below:

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is almost impossibly thin when you pick it up â dimensions of 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5mm mean it's one of the thinnest smartphones on the market at the moment, rivalling the likes of the iPhone 4 and Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc for the title.

It's crazy-light too â when we show you what tech is rammed under the hood, you'll be amazed that it all goes in a device that weighs only a shade over 100g (116g, to be precise).

Samsung clearly traded the premium feel an all-metal chassis might have brought to keep the grams off the Galaxy S2 â pop the battery cover off and you'll find you're holding a piece of pretty flimsy plastic.

However, most of the time you won't be removing this and it fits nicely into the contoured chassis â the mesh feel on the rear also helps keep your hand from getting warm during extended holding.

The other thing you'll notice when you first pick up the Galaxy S2 is the screen â at 4.3 inches it's hard to miss, and when you turn it on the Super AMOLED plus technology hits you square in the eyeballs (once it's got through the toughened Gorilla Glass).

We called the Samsung Galaxy S "the best phone on the market for media" when we reviewed it, thanks to its first-gen Super AMOLED screen. Now the Galaxy S2 has definitely improved on that, with a superbly crisp and vibrant screen.

The only problem is a slightly schizophrenic auto-brightness - if you try and save battery by having the sensor monitor ambient light levels, then the screen decides to bounce about with light levels even in same conditions.

UPDATE: Samsung has released a fix to solve this problem already, so forget about it. Un-read what you just read. We could delete it, but that would be lying to you.

In the hand, the Galaxy S2 sits much better than we'd have expected, given the whopping screen on offer, and that's mostly down to its slim depth.

The front of the phone is pretty sparse, with the home key the only piece of furniture on offer. This rectangular button flanks two touch-sensitive buttons â Menu and Back â so there's no room for contextual search here.

The volume keys are located on the left-hand side, and the power/lock key is on the opposite flank; both are easy enough to hit without error, and crucially the travel on the power key is softer so that it's much easier to hit when you're juggling it in the palm â compare that to its predecessor, where you could accidentally drop it trying to shut off the screen.

The 3.5mm headphone jack lives on the top of the phone, bucking the lower placement on other 4.3-inch screen phones, and the microUSB slot (which also doubles as an HDMI out port) lives on the bottom.

The only other element of note is the 8.1MP camera with single LED flash on the rear â it's slightly raised, but not so much that it disrupts the Galaxy S2 when you're placing it on a table, thanks to a rear lip to help you hold the phone.

Original Question

Galaxy s3 or htc one X ?

Q. I dunno which one to buy both look perfect...whats ur opinion guys ?? :S

A. Hi, buy the Samsung Galaxy SIII (Samsung Galaxy S3) here is my experience
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0080DJ6CM/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0080DJ6CM&linkCode=as2&tag=acomprar-20

I am so happy with this phone. Just got this phone on July 20th so I haven't tested out all the features. But I still say that it's just amazing and worth every penny. Apple fan boys beware cause Samsung is here to stay. The phone is extremely light and the display is very big and beautiful. The phone does look big at first, however web browsing, reading books and playing games is very easy due to the screen size. In addition after a while you do warm up to the size and it's hard to go back to a smaller phone. In addition the user experience is great.

I had read tons of reviews and articles about problems with the battery and mic etc with this phone. However I have not experienced any of these.

***Battery***
Battery is great. After charging it for about 4 hours or so and browsing for about 3 hours, downloading games, making several phone calls (over 3 hours in total), taking pictures, playing music and using S Voice; I got over 36 hours and counting on the phone on a single charge. I should note that I did make some modifications however by occasionally turning off WIFI, turning off Bluetooth, syncing and a couple other battery draining options. In addition Samsung has a cool power saving option that helps to maximize battery life.

***Microphone***
Had no problem. I could hear the other person clearly and they could hear me clearly too. There is also a volume boost option for when you are on a call and what extra volume. Pretty cool if you ask me and it does make a significant difference.

***No Overheating***
I haven't had that problem at all. Even with a phone case on the phone did not overheat.

***Charging***
Phone charged perfectly fine. Didn't get stuck or anything. And it also charged very quickly. Probably charged less than 4 hours. Didn't really time it, but after 4 hours it was fully charged.

***WIFI***
The WIFI connection is great. Signal didn't drop or anything.

SOME CONS:

1. User Manual and set up - Had some problems at first because the phone came with a printed Spanish manual. But luckily they have the user manual in all languages online and the set up is also pretty easy to follow on the phone. Several programs like S voice also defaulted to Spanish even after setting up the phone with the default language being English.

2. Back Cover - Some people did complain about the back cover which I agree could have been designed better as it does give it a somewhat cheap look. However it is easy to remove, clean and who doesn't love a removable battery. I have also seen at least one pic on the web where the back cover was cracking, however I have not experienced this for myself.

3. Color Saturation - Another thing is that though the camera takes great pictures, the phone display makes the colors look very saturated when compared to other phones. Will see if there are any options I can select to improve this.

4. S Voice - S voice unlike Siri can open up all the apps on the phone and has some other cool features. But S voice can be a little annoying as it doesn't get what you are asking or telling it to do at times (Siri does have similar problems but not as pronounced). It also at times didn't recognize my wake up voice command (Hi Galaxy). If you ask S voice if you need an umbrella it is smart enough to pull up the weather forecast for your area. However I had some difficulty setting an alarm as each time I would say 6:00 am, it would register it as 6:00pm. I eventually got this fixed by changing how I said the command. If you also speak too slowly it doesn't pick up on what you are saying. S voice also isn't as funny or intuitive as other voice recognition tools. If you ask "what sound does a cat make?", it will ask if you would like to Google it rather than just be proactive and google it. The only workaround is to tell it to "search for what sound does a cat make". Not a major game changer; but again if you are expecting S voice to be as perfect as you see those "Andrew" Android straight talk ads, then forget it. Be prepared to repeat yourself a couple times before S voice gets it right. But as annoying as it is, it does make hands free driving and cooking some what easier. Had no problems telling S voice to make calls or send a text.

Original Question

will an apple ipad case/cover fit a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1?

Q. I want to buy a Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 but all the cases/covers available in this country are for the Apple ipad. You'd get an e-mail whenever a new match is listed on eBay. I got it for Christmas, and it was acting fine until a few days ago. It started to not want to charge unless it was pushed in and held in the charger exactly right, and it kept charging on and off while I always kept the charger in the kindle. The battery runs out really fast too. Like 1 1/2 hours. But the charger just isn't charging it right anymore, and I can't get it to charge right now. You get to have them either one fixed...

There's some discussion about problems on charging the Kindle or battery issues here as well. It can't solve the slot broken problem, but if it's other problem it should help. The discussion is for the Kindle Fire, but the concept should apply for other Kindle models:

http://budurl.com/FixKindleProblems

Probably you need to get the charger from Amazon, the one designed for the Kindle device.

Original Question

Kindles?????????????

Q. what extra equipment will i need to buy if I buy one (e.g adapter, case, kindle light..)??
how do you buy the books?
Is it just like when you download music from your computer to your phone?,
can you list me websites where I can get free books please!
and any extra information?
would you recommend one?
doesn't it hurt your eyes, or is it just like an actual book?
does it make you feel unsecure that you dont actually own the actual book? and if the kindle broke moneys worth of books would be lost?
what kindle would you recommend/ has the most features (i prefre touch screen) and has the most storage for books
what can you do on the kindle, e.g bookmark books? can you bookmark more than one book?
every answer will be appreciated, if you can answer all these questions i will give you best answer! :D

also what of the books would you recommend?

A. Hi
I have one and I LOVE IT!
It doesn't hurt your eyes because it works on as normal books, which means if you're in a dark room you cannot read, because there is no screen light for you to read, which leads to no eye damage :)

The latest kindle, I'd recommend the 6 inch one, like the one I have because it's practical and comfortable to hold.

My first kindle broke...I broke it, because I was careless, so you should be careful not to toss it around or use it harshly because to be frank, it is a bit delicate when it comes to that.

I get my books at www.smashwords.com, some are free, some are supposed to be bought. I'd recommend you to read the The Queen's Blade series, it will cost you about $30 but it's worth it.

The charger comes with the kindle. Get a kindle holder, a kindle bag or anything you can afford. I have a kindle protector, a simple one like the ones you put on Blackberry's back.

Amazon does replace your kindle for free if it breaks, but that means the warranty will be no longer functional at that point.

As for getting the books, it's very simple. You either connect to the internet and get the books to come at your kindle from the book site you'll be using and when connected to the PC it will open a window and you'll be able to drag and drop any book/song/image you like at the specified folders :)
This is the one you're asking for : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051VVOB2/ref=famstripe_kf

But I'd recommend a simpler one like the 3G one, so you won't get caught up in other things rather than reading.
As for books.....Be prepared.....Go:

Must read :
The Queen's Blade
Harry Potter
The DaVinci Code
Angels and Demons
The Lost symbol
Water for elephants
The Hunger Games
Veronica decides to die
The Alchemist
11 minutes
Sapphire
A thousand splendid suns
Kite runner
And many others :P But this is the kind of literature I prefer and I think you'll enjoy reading it :)

Oh and Yes you can bookmark books. Kindle automatically lets you read from the last read page, so you won't lose track.

As for feeling secure for not owning the book. I'm a bookworm and at first I felt kind of silly going around reading e-books instead of print ones, but now I feel fine and I just love it. I read more than 5 hours a day, considering school and everything and I seriously recommend one.

Cheers! Have a great time and get one AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Original Question

Kindle fire charger?

Q. I just bought a kindle fire at a yard sale. It won't be out till end of this year though. I am a professional photographer and this will be my next phone. I do weddings, corporate events and nature photography but I use DSLR such as the Canon 5D mark III for my professional work . The great thing about the Galaxy Note 2 is the stylus which is called the S-Pen. The S-Pen is very similar to a Wacom Stylus and it has 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity and this will allow you to do many creative edits within the phone itself.

Galaxy Note 2 will come in 3 flavor of memory 16, 32 and 64. So the price will vary depending on which one you get.

So until you are ready to jump to a DSLR, this should hold you off till then

Here is a video with some of the features of the Galaxy Note 2.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DcgZum8M1o

This video is of the older Note which has 256 pressure sensitivity but it shows the cool drawing you can do with it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOcFw38ewiU

Original Question

What material is the Samsung Galaxy Note II made of?

Q. I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy Note II on Verizon, which as you may know, has the infamous Verizon stamp on the home button. They have yet to provide a fix. This works some of the time.

Remove the battery. Count to ten, and then replace the battery and turn it on. If it comes on, let it update and then use as normal.
If this did not get your device working again, take it to the Samsung dealer.

To prevent future occurrences of the Black Screen of Death, turn your Samsung device off once a day so it can clear what ever is causing the problem. I haven't dropped it or anything, does anyone know what's wrong?

A. While I can't solve your problem over the Internet, I can give you some troubleshooting steps and some possible advice. We encounter this problem a lot at Geek Squad.

The majority of the issues we see with charging is due to the Client not using an Official Samsung charger and data cable. There are known charging issues when a non Samsung branded brick and cord is used due to different voltages that can vary.

The issue may also be related to apps you are using. For instance, there is an app called GroupMe on Android based devices. A new update to the app caused Samsung Galaxy S III phones to lose battery life at an alarming rate. Check to make sure your apps are fully updated and consider removing some non essential apps to troubleshoot.

It's possible that a full factory reset would be the best bet to determine if an app is to blame.

If after all of this, you still have issues with battery life and charging, you might have a hardware problem on your hands. Usually hardware issues are due to the charging port / motherboard inside the tablet. These are usually covered under Manufacturer Warranty as long as there isn't damage to the tablet. In the event you suspect hardware damage, contact Samsung or take it to the place you bought it from if it's under a year old.

Hope this helps.

Agent Ronnie V
Advanced Repair Agent
Badge 44515
Geek Squad Social Media Team
04-25-2014

Original Question

Powered by Yahoo! Its basically for school, but it would be nice to have so additional cool features, lke for music or games , or watching movies etc...any how, is the samsung galaxy tab 7.0 better than the google nexus 7 ?!?
which one is better any why is it better
also are there any other good tablets for that prcice range ?

A. Personally, the Google Nexus 7 stuck with me better. I think you've narrowed it down to the two most reliable tablets that are not only cheap, but versatile and useful. Here's why-
Online, especially on craigslist, you can find both of these tablets used, as well as unopened. The prices are generally the same whether it's used or unopened, and averages at around $170-200 for each 7" model. You will generally be able to find this price, often irregardless of the storage capacity. They will also often come with cases, it's just a matter of you looking for and finding the best offers.
As for which one is better, that's up to you- They both run Android, and they look different. However, the Nexus has a higher screen resolution, is cheaper than the Tab 2, and has a quad-core processor. The cons of the Nexus are, although the Nexus is easier to find for prices $40-50 less than the Tab 2, you will also be sacrificing a MicroSD slot and a back camera, but still has a front camera. So if you like scanning codes or feel the need to double the 16GB storage capacity, Tab 2 is for you. I didn't have a problem with it, and the Nexus was also lighter, imo sleeker and felt better to hold.
Good luck!

Original Question

Which tablet is better for a 14 year old? No sense having an expensive tablet and not protecting it.

I personally do not consider ANY current tablets to have awesome speakers, that is what the AWESOME ear-buds, docks and small external speakers are for. Both of the tablets mentioned in your post will do great for web browsing, watching videos.

No tablet is going to be great for picture taking, because they are not exactly "POINT AND SHOOT" devices. They will of course work ok if you have time to steady and shoot, but of course no normal person, is going to go on vacation in an amusement park or camping in a national park or river rafting, and use a tablet to take pictures.

So if the budget will support an iPad 3, I'd say go for it and let the kid decide if he wants to keep it, or trade it in for something else.

Original Question

Are Samsung 7" tablet connections the same (P1000/1010 vs P6810)?

Q. I have a Samsung P6810 7" tablet which is pretty new - released Dec 2011. I tried Skinit.com which was a very good site, but it didn't have customizable cases/skins for the Samsung Galaxy Note. I take all my meeting notes With it, I do all My To-Do lists on it, I can sync it With my phone & google chrome & Can access all my To-Dos & Meeting agendas from any where. The device is very smart & quickly recognizes 90% of Your handwriting and allows you to open several tasks/pages together. The speakers are amazing for a device of this size. You can edit any word document with the stylus and add whatever you like just like you're writing on a piece of Paper & best of all it does NOT detect your palm or lone finger as you write on the Screen. In case I get an Ipad.

A. iPad has one major advantage which is the screen quality which makes a good amount of difference in watching movies, playing games, seeing pictures, videos and all stuff related to screen.

There is not much visible difference b/w iPad 3 vs iPad 4, see this review comparison from an actual user on iPad 4 vs iPad 3:
http://www.amazon.com/review/R2EBIZ57N5JG0B/?_encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B009W9AEOM&camp=1789&creative=390957&linkCode=ur2&nodeID=&tag=cogfa-20

The iPad 4 with even lower specs would give you the best of performance as the iOS, hardware and the apps work flawlessly with each other giving you the best experience with low specs. Then the accessories of iPad in market are pretty huge in number so you can enjoy many other features also.

On the other hand Galaxy Note is the one with better specs in many places but the screen is pretty poor with 1280*800@149PPI whereas the iPad with 2048*1536 @264PPI.

So my preference would be iPad 4.

16Gb or 32Gb?
In 16Gb you get around 13.5Gb which you can use for 2-3 Standard Definition movies(2.5Gb), around 50 apps (2.5Gb), over 500 music files(2.5Gb), pics, 5-6 Tv episodes (2Gb) and few games. High quality games would cost in Gb's while SD games would cost in MB's only And few more stuff and it would fill completely.

So take chance only if you think you can comply with this much space otherwise 32Gb option would be better.

Original Question

Powered by Yahoo! I don't know why but it always disconnects my device from the wireless network and it's definitely not the routers fault our so. This happens about every 5 minutesand forces me to restart my wifi which only takes a few seconds but it's pretty annoying especially when you're playing games online. Plus it only runs with androud 2.2 a ka 2.3.3 which are not tablet versions. Of course is the 7 inch screen a lot handier and works as a phone too ^^
Browsing is quite fast but I don't think it's faster than the big brother.

If I were you I'd take the 10.1. Apps like "CoPilot Live USA" ($10) have offline maps so you can use the Galaxy Player just like dedicated GPS while traveling.)

- FM tuner (great for WiFi dead spots)

- Vibration feedback for UI, alarms, and games

- 3 silent capacitive touch controls on display (settings, home, and back)

- microSD card slot (up to 32GB card + built-in 8GB = 40GB max at any time. Be sure to buy the highest speed class (10 is highest right now) microSD card for snappy read/write speed.)

- LED camera flash (5.0 model only)

- 3.2MP back camera (iPod Touch has 0.7MP back camera)

- 1GHz Hummingbird processor

So, as for hardware features, the Galaxy Players 4.0 and 5.0 are far ahead of the iPod Touch.

However, the iPod Touch's 3.5inch 960Ã640 display has a higher resolution than the Galaxy Players' 800x480 Super TFT "SuperClear" LCD display. I own a Galaxy Player 4.0 and an iPod Touch 4g. If you bring the screens right up to your eyes, the iPod's display looks better, but if you view them from a normal distance, the Galaxy Players' display has darker black levels, can get much much brighter, and has a wider viewing angle. I prefer the Galaxy Player for normal arm's length viewing.

The Galaxy Players have a plastic back plate and are thicker than the iPod Touch 4g. However, they are surprisingly light for such comparatively large devices. The Galaxy 4.0 is quite pocketable, but I have not personally tried to pocket a Galaxy 5.0.

You can directly connect an iPod Touch 4g via a 3rd party cable to the HDMI, RCA, or component video inputs of a TV. This is known as MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link). The Galaxy Players do not support MHL, so no cable can export video from the device via the microUSB port. However, the Galaxy Players 4.0 and 5.0 do support AllShare (a Samsung customized layer on the DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) industry standard), which allows them to wirelessly transmit audio+video to AllShare/DLNA compatible TVs. Here is a demo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1aYipj60Cc&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PLE51104BDD5CC802F

The iPod's major advantage is access to iTunes. For Android devices, one has the Android Market, Samsung App, Amazon App Store, etc. You will probably be able to find the same or an equivalent Android app that you could find on iTunes. However, it's the shopping and dealing with multiple vendor portals (and even in-app purchases for app upgrades) that those used to the ease and comfort of iTunes may find disconcerting. Android portals for apps and content (books, music, video) are getting better every year, but no one Android portal is currently in the same class as Apple's iTunes. That is just something you would have to live with if you go with Android.

I can't speak to the Galaxy Players' durability, etc. because they have only been released in the US since Oct/16/2011. However, in my opinion, they offer superior hardware features (listed above) and, once you get all of your favorite apps and settings lined up, you will likely have a better day to day experience. However, if the notion of shopping around for Android apps you want and not being able to get all of your content in one place doesn't appeal to you, then I would recommend sticking
with Apple's iPod Touch 4g. The iPod Touch's display may be smaller and its hardware features in need of an upgrade (no luck this year), but it is a rock solid device with a the one-stop-shopping iTunes juggernaut at your fingertips.

Good luck, and happy shopping :)

P.S. You can compare specs here:

Galaxy Players: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-players
iPod Touch 4g: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/specs.html

Original Question

Gadget: Samsung Galaxy Tablet?

Q. Hello yahoo users!

i just want to ask your opinions.
I am planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, now, i want to know your side if, what are its advantages and disadvantages.

I hope you can help me to decide.

thank you! =)

A. Compare Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the leader in the tablet space, the Apple iPad 2:

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the lightest (1.25 lbs) of the big-screen tablets and is the thinnest (0.336 inches) overall. Like with the iPad, however, thinness comes at the expense of SD, USB, and HDMI ports: Tab and iPad have none. Choose the Galaxy Tab over iPad if you love its light weight and thinness but want an Android tablet rather than an iOS (iPad) tablet. Choose the Tab 10.1 if you prefer its 1280x800 TFT display more than iPad 2's 1024x768 IPS display. Choose the Tab 10.1 if you want a better rear camera (3 MP) than iPad 2's lousy 0.7 MP camera.

Otherwise, go with the IPad 2, which has a higher degree of fit-and-finish than its competition. Like iPhones vs other smart phones, iPods vs other MP3 players, or Macs vs PC's, iPads are widely regarded as being more refined and polished than other tablets. iPad also has a large and refined App Store (although Android Market is closing the gap).

Original Question

Does samsung galaxy grand support HDMI?

Q. If yes. Thanks for your help.

A. I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and I sometimes watch anime on it. If the site works for mobile it works just fine for the tablet. If you don't expand the video it would be harder to watch so I recommend enlarging it to view it better/clearer. The downside to this (For me at least) is that you can't plug in your headphones so you would have to listen to it through the speakers. The speakers are fairly good, they're loud and clear (clear depending on the video quality), so if you don't mind it then it's a pretty useful thing to have to watch anime. As for the Google Nexus 7, I don't own one nor do I have experience with it, but I heard it is a high quality tablet so streaming anime should be just fine on it as well. In the end it's really just preferences and budget.

Original Question

what is difference between Samsung galaxy Note sII and Samsung Galaxy S3 ?

Q.

A. Samsung Galaxy Note
Samsung Galaxy Note is an Android smart phone by
Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy S II is ergonomically
designed for a better grip with 2 curves top and bottom.
The device is still made out of plastic, just like its much
famed predecessor Samsung Galaxy S.
Samsung Galaxy S II has a 4.3 inch super AMOLED plus
screen with 800 x 480 resolution. The super AMOLED
screen is a lot better in terms of color saturation and
vibrancy. To the delight of many Samsung Galaxy lovers
it has been confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S II
screen is designed with Gorilla Glass making it heavily
durable for rough use. This is one big advantage
Samsung Galaxy S II has over its competitors. Super
AMOLED plus gives better quality in not only displaying
content but also in terms of battery consumption.
Samsung Galaxy S II has a 1.2 GHz dual core processor,
but this is not achieved during all phone operations
unless critically needed. This probably accounts more for
the great power management available in Samsung
Galaxy S II. The device can have 16 GB or 32 GB
internal storage with 1 GB RAM. Now consider Galaxy W (4GB internal memory, part of it will be used as 512MB RAM, 2GB ROM) where the rest of its memory can be utilized for app installations; and think of games!

>>and by the way, did I say Galaxy W has a 1.4 GHz processor? Well, if your thinking of upgrading the OS to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich...this additional bump in the processor will do serve you further than that 1GHz of Optimus Sol; since Android ICS is bigger and heavier than Android Gingerbread.

>>not to mention that Galaxy W comes pre-installed with fun and really useful appz like Office Document VIEWER AND EDITOR and of course an IMAGE AND VIDEO EDITOR as well. (Compared to only a document viewer in Optimus Sol and no photo and video editing app; if you can live without them then cool but if you want them then you should be willing to shed more cash later for Optimus Sol OR you can get save yourself the hassle and GET YOURSELF A SAMSUNG GALAXY W i8150 :)

have a nice day man...hope my little comparison here helps!
may God bless you...enjoy your Android!

(burp me at broJins@facebook.com :)

Original Question

im using Samsung Galaxy W i8150?

Q. do this phone can play games? i dont see any game apps.. and can I use facebook and twitter without pay any credit?

A. yes, its an android phone... just download your choice of hundreds of thousands of games from the android market

you need a data plan, or a wifi connection to use facebook or twitter

Original Question

Samsung galaxy w(wonder)?

Q. Hi, i got a samsung galaxy w (GT-I8150), the phone's RAM is almost full, ~300MB out of 350MB
i've installed some apps but i guess they are not as much as they have taken this amount of my RAM...
Is it normal to have a full RAM ?

A. Yes, it sounds like you installed too much on it.

Original Question

Powered by Yahoo! They have a different feel.

Some differences:
- Samsung has Dual-core CPU vs Nexus Quad-core... but you might not notice this difference in the real world unless you play highly demanding games.

- Since the Nexus is by Google (producer of the Android operating system/OS they both use), it might get the latest OS upgrades faster.

- The Nexus is made by ASUS, a big motherboard/laptop manufacturer.

- Otherwise they are pretty similar and the Samsung goes on sale a lot bringing their prices very close to each other.

- Another difference in case it matters to you, the Samsung has a back camera while the Nexus does not. This can be useful for showing other people places, houses, etc... via Skype or whatever video app you use. It is also handy for capturing documents or notes to share them or bring them into Evernote, an excellent app. I chose the Samsung for my wife for Christmas due to this feature even tho I use an iPad.

Original Question

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.7.0 won't turn on or charge?

Q. Last night my battery was on at 19%, and I was too tired to put it on recharge. Typically, it is necessary for you to have received education in software engineering/development to show that you learned the skills necessary to be a developer. While some companies may only require a certification program or associate's program, many software companies require a 4-year bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a similar field in order to get a career as a mobile developer.

Original Question

Yearly cost for Android Developer Program?

Q. I know the iPhone Developer Program costs $99 a year to make apps.
Is there a cost to participate in the Android Developer Program?

And Also, what language is used to make Android Apps.

A. The Android SDK is free to develope and test you product. Apple Charges you $100 per year for a developer account. YOu can pay this off with adds in your apps then make a 99 .

For Android:
Learn Java
Java is what android uses to make their apps. Google Charges $20 for developers. There are a lot of tablets at or below this price but they are mostly very low end devices with slow CPUs, poor screens and built for non-US markets. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 makes none of the compromises typical of this price point and provides the same kind of performance you'd expect from the rest of the Samsung Galaxy Tab portfolio. It's fast, slick, has a great screen and even has Android 4.03 (Ice Cream Sandwich). I do like the new operating system and adapted to it in minutes.

Original Question

Ipad or Samsung Galaxy Tab?

Q. I have to choose one to get for my birthday soon. I want an Android device but at the same time I'm reading reviews that the Ipad is better. Also, is it true that Google Play has more free apps than iTunes/appstore.

A. I suggest Samsung Galaxy Tab. Personally I have a Samsung note 10.1 which I bought last year, it's with S pen which makes the operation fast and accurate. While the ipad's operation is totally based on the fingers, I don't like it, bcz my wrist joint and finger will be tired after long term operation.

Yes, the android apps have more choices. This is another reason you can choose Samsung Galaxy Tab.
However, if you feel the ipad will brings you a feeling of ''high class' which it's your goal, you could just go for it. Happy birthday to you in advance, I know a website may helpful to your new device of ipad/samsung tablet as below, it can get your device unique and make it significant to your birthday.

Original Question

Powered by Yahoo! Where and how?

A. The iPad has a limitation of showing only 10 full pages or up to 200 apps.

If you have more apps than that installed, they are still on your iPad but you can only find them using the search feature.

To get to the Search feature, go to the 1st page then go BACK one page and type in the name of the app you are looking for and search for it. You can then launch it once it searches and finds it.

It's a real pain and I wish Apple would allow limitless apps to show up.

The only solution besides searching is to delete some of your apps, do a shutdown of your iPad (holding the top button down 5 seconds until the RED shutdown bar appears) then start up your iPad again. The blank slots should now be filled with apps that were previously hidden by the lack of space.

Original Question

Who knows good free iPad apps?

Q. So, I bought one.
What are some good free apps that I can download?
Thank you!

A. Some good free iPad apps include: NYT Editor's Choice, Netflix, iBooks, NPR, Appolicious, Pandora, Yahoo!
